Nokia spokesman Kasey Farrar announced in an interview yesterday that the Tube would have:

  • Touch based interface
  • Symbian operating system (s60)

Farrar also alluded to Linux capabilities of previous Nokia devices, notably the N800 and N810 internet tablets.

Infoworld revealed that the Tube will also have:

  • Java
  • Photo uploading capabilities
  • Video playback; assume multimedia capabilities

Photo uploading ability point towards

  • 3G
  • hopefully wi-fi.
  • Bluetooth (stereo??)

We are also expecting GPS on this device in line with Nokia policy.

Specifications at this stage are sketchy, however you can expect a touch screen, java, and the symbian s60 platform.
